Profanity Peak Trail
This short, 1 1/2 mile trail takes you to 5800 ft with a gentle climb and only 680 ft in elevation change. The Profanity Peak Trail connects to the Kettle Crest Trail. The trail head is small, with room for only two vehicles. There was a forest fire on Tonasket Mountain several years ago, but the highlands near the crest were spared and offer open stands of virgin forest with grassy meadows between them. This little-used trail offers a great chance to view large wildlife: bears, moose and elk live in these forests.
