Old Stage Trail #75

The historic Old Stage Trail #75 is the eastern portion of the Old Stage Trail #1 on the Kettle Crest. As its name implies, this was once a stage coach route, and is actually the last remaining segment of the first Washington State Highway. The trail provides access to Copper Butte, the highest peak in Ferry County at 7140′. The trailhead for this portion of the Old Stage Trail is located about 29 miles from Kettle Falls, WA. There is a vault toilet and a campground, and is a favorite of the Back Country Horsemen.
