This trail rises quickly over the first 1.5 miles as it winds through the area of the 1988 White Mountain Fire,  and more gently once it reaches the crest of the ridge between Snow Peak and Mount Washington. Water is not available along the trail but there is a spring close to the Snow Peak Cabin which is a half mile south of the junction of the Snow Peak Trail and Kettle Crest Trail #13 South. Panoramic views and wildflowers abound. This trail is the quickest summer access to the Snow Peak Cabin rental.
