Pierre Lake Trail

The Pierre Lake Trail is a short hike along the National Forest Campground part of Pierre Lake that the whole family can enjoy. You can view the dramatic slope to the east that climbs swiftly to 1000 feet above the lake. The trail is located on the west side, and affords scenic views of the lake and can become a loop trail by following the campground road back to any campsite. The campsite at the north end of the lake has six sites for smaller campers. The south end has nine sites and a tight “J” hook turn around most of these are set up for pick-up campers and tents. Beavers can sometimes be seen swimming in the lake.
