Wapaloosie Mountain Trail #15

The Wapaloosie Mountain Trail starts off making it’s way through fairly dense lodgepole pine forest at a steady, moderate incline. As you gain elevation the trail opens up to reveal beautiful, wildflower-strewn meadows and panoramic views to the south, which includes Mack Moutntain and Graves Mountain. Near the summit the trail crosses a meadow  and connects to the Kettle Crest National Recreation Trail #13. This is one of the few places that you can see sagebrush growing alongside sub-alpine Western Larch.
