Pioneer Park
Heritage Trail

The Pioneer Park Heritage Trail is situated at the southern edge of Colville National Forest, near the Idaho border. The trail is located in the Pioneer Park Campground on the eastern shore of the Pend Oreille River. On this unique 0.3 mile trail, the history of the Kalispel Tribe is presented through twelve artistic, interpretive displays. You can experience dramatic views of the Pend Oreille River from the elevated boardwalk. The campground is surrounded by groves of ponderosa pine, white pine, hemlock and grand fir trees, and sits at an elevation of 2,000 feet.
