Lambert Trail

The Lambert Trail #47 is a steady climb through meadows and open stands of Ponderosa Pine, Fir and Larch. This trail provides a short access to the Kettle Crest (North) National Recreation Trail #13 through meadows and stands of fir and Ponderosa pine trees. Trail users will find both springs and a stock watering trough along the way. Much of the trail is recovering from the Copper Mountain fire of 1986, so shelter from the weather is scarce, but views over long distances are plentiful and so are the wildflowers. Be prepared for sudden changes in the weather.
