Description: The Deer Creek Summit South Loop Trail #43 is a groomed cross-country ski trail in the winter, and becomes both a hiking and mountain bike trail in the spring, summer and fall months. The trail is a 3.1 mile route, 1.5 miles of that being on fairly level forest service road. [read more=”Read more” less=”Read less”] It can be turned into a 6.5 mile loop by connecting with the Kettle Crest (North) National Recreation Trail.  This route can also be connected with the Long Alec Trail #43.1.  Mountain bikers can also use this trail for easy access to the Taylor Ridge Trail #13. Trail users will be rewarded with views of the Kettle River Valley along the way. During the summer months, there may be restricted access.
